Its Carol here. Just to let you know that Lake Okareka is really, REALLY close to downtown Rotorua. Driving time is only 10-15 minutes. Sometimes locals arrive half an hour early because they over estimate the time it takes to get here. So if you have a car, it won't take you long at all. And the drive through bush and lake is calming and restorative just in itself. See you here soon!
